A focused Wiz alternative for internet exposure.
OpenWiz is being built for small teams that want to know which public cloud exposure to fix first—without buying a broad enterprise cloud security platform.
OpenWiz is in development. The subscription starts immediately at $9 per root domain plus $1 per cloud compute instance each month.
Not a smaller copy of an enterprise CNAPP.
Wiz covers a broad cloud security platform. OpenWiz is intentionally narrower: one root domain, its public services, AWS resources, and Cloudflare context, combined into prioritized Exposure Issues. The goal is not feature parity. It is a clear, affordable answer to the part of cloud risk that begins on the public internet.
Start from what an attacker can reach
Cloud inventories are useful, but they do not automatically tell a small team which asset is exposed from the outside. The planned OpenWiz workflow begins with the root domain and its subdomains, observes public endpoints, and then connects those endpoints to the cloud resources behind them.
- Discover public domains, subdomains, and services
- Separate reachable endpoints from internal-only inventory
- Keep evidence attached to each exposure issue
Prioritize a connected issue, not an alert pile
A public port, an EC2 instance, and an identity relationship should not appear as unrelated findings when they describe one risk path. OpenWiz plans to group the evidence and explain why the combined issue deserves attention, so the repair queue stays short enough to act on.
- Match public endpoints to AWS resources
- Add Cloudflare DNS and proxy context
- Order issues by reachability and potential impact
Use a price that fits the narrow scope
Founding access is a monthly subscription priced at $9 per root domain plus $1 per cloud compute instance. Choose 1–100 root domains and 1–10,000 instances; the minimum is $10 per month.
- Every root domain includes all of its subdomains
- Pay only for the cloud compute instances you select
- A proactive refund if the first MVP misses its delivery window
For teams with a focused exposure problem
OpenWiz is aimed at founders, platform engineers, and small security teams that own AWS and Cloudflare but do not need a broad enterprise security program on day one.
- You need a short list of internet-facing risks
- Your public domains lead to AWS workloads
- You value explainable prioritization over dashboard breadth
